Teresa Guidice of The Housewives of New Jersey is in financial trouble as most know. She and her husband owe 11 million dollars. She owes $19,000 to a fertility clinic. She has 4 beautiful daughters: Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana -- I wonder what nationality they are!
Teresa is now the spokeswoman for a local tanning spa. You can either lie in a tanning bed or get spray tanned. She speaks in the commercial. I just felt that the way they had her sitting up and talking, she was a little stiff. You can probably see the commercial on the Internet. AOL is showing it.
Anyway, she was my favorite Housewife until she chased Danielle out of the country club, and is very proud of herself. It was so high school. She's not a class act. And you know what they say: What goes around, comes around. Now she and her husband have to be frugal, although Joe says nothing will change in their manner of living. This is really a bad economy. I guess she won't be running around in chinchilla coats anymore. "I just want to talk to the Bitch." Childish, stupid. But she still has that whistle in her voice...

Jerry Finally Admits
Years ago, I read in some places that Jerry Lewis maintained his IQ was over 200. They didn't have any tests that could meaure it.
But recently a young reporter asked him about it and he said it was 146. There you go, Jerry. And I believe he has every point.
Supposedly Jayne Mansfield and Raquel Welch had/have the same IQ: 163.

Why Not? Jim Bailey does Judy
I couldn't find Lorna Luft's version of The Man Who Got Away. No concern. I found Jim Bailey's and I think it's up there with Liza's.
Jim Bailey was popular at one time. Not only did he
impersonate Judy, he also impersonated Barbara Streisand
and (possibly) Peggy Lee. I haven't seen him lately.
I hope he is still performing.

Liza Minnelli The Man That Got Away
Liza Minnelli sings The Man That Got Away. Comparison.
There is no video above.
But it's a live recording of Liza doing this song.
Attempting it takes a lot of guts.

Judy Garland The Man That Got Away
I looked it up in the dictionary. This is perfection: Judy Garland.
I have never heard a voice so strong in my life. One
of the popular rock shows took a vote -- who was
the Diva of the 20th Century. They chose Diana
Ross. But I vote for Judy Garland and this is her
best performance. I get goose bumps hearing it.

Teresa Guidice in Trouble
Housewives of NJ: Teresa and her husband, Guiseppe (known as Joe) are in trouble. It's not just bankruptcy but they are being accused of perjury, hiding assets and their interests in a pizza place, a laundromat and another business, plus Teresa's new cookbook, which Amazon.com is selling on this blog. Mostly it seems they're after Teresa for lying about these things under oath. You can read about Teresa's plight and Danielle's past saga at http://thesmokinggun.com/
So now they are in trouble and will probably know soon just how much. What went on the night of the fashion show was horrible. Sometimes what goes around comes around. It is possible Teresa, mother of 4 girls, might end up doing time. They didn't have much to say about Joe.

Re-Watching the latest Housewives of NJ
What I saw going on on that show was a disgrace. Teresa waited outside the Ladies Room for Danielle to come out of the bathroom. And provoked her into a fight. The fight became Teresa calling her a bitch and a coke whore. Then Teresa got up from her seat and did a rapper's dance, all the while taunting Danielle. "I saw the house you lived in in Paterson," Danielle said. Teresa responded, "Now I'm living in a $5 Million mansion." Danielle said, "But it's in foreclosure." Jacqueline got into the act. They were all running through the restaurant. Jacqueline yells, "I read your court records, Danielle. You hit someone with a 9mm gun."
There were so many people witnessing this. Danielle managed to get out of the restaurant and hid in an alcove outside, hysterically crying. Teresa yelled, "Where's that Bitch?" as she ran after Danielle. When her bodyguards were getting a hold of her to get her into her car safely, Jacqueline's daughter, Ashley, pulled hard on Danielles hair, actually pulling one of the extensions out. This is assault. I have already read that Ashley was convicted of assault. That's all I know.
Chasing the woman through the restaurant out into the parking lot, glass breaking, was like high school girls. Danielle said when Teresa said "Hello" she was starting something. I agree. All of her past is behind her. She paid her debt to society. At a young age she made mistakes, got onto drugs and got involved with a big time drug lord. She came out of all that. She has 2 wonderful daughters. Do Caroline, Teresa and Jacqueline realize they are harming 2 innocent kids? What is happening in their schools? Are they going to be antagonized because of what is being perpetrated on their mother?
The only thing I like about Teresa now is that melodic squeal she emits when she is happy. Gia, her daughter, has the same quality too. Teresa is raising 4 girls. Is this what she's teaching them? This behavior? When Teresa was home with her husband one night, she finally told him what happened. Later she said, "Joe's glad he has a tough wife." Also, Teresa planted herself in front of Danielle's car. "I want to speak to the bitch. They'll have to run me over first if they want to take off."
Then Jacqueline stood guard in front of the car. Talk about an ambush. Teresa was inside the restaurat talking to the polce ... "Why do you want to speak to me?"..."What report"? Maybe reality set in. They were going to court.
Leave this woman alone. All she wanted was to be friends with you. So don't hold your heads up so high, thinking you're superior and guilt free.

Jerry Lewis and His Youngest Son Joseph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFoeypOFsZs
Shortly after the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. telethon was finished last year (2009), a news report said Jerry Lewis' son, Joseph was dead. Nothing more was ever said about Joseph's death. Somebody squelched it. He died as a result of a narcotics (heroin?) overdose. On purpose? We'll never know. Joseph and his father were estranged for years. Gary Lewis, the oldest son, hadn't seen Joseph in 10 years. Gary came out and said Joseph died because he was so abused by his father. Gary called his father, Jerry Lewis, a mean, unfeeling man.
Around the same time, a woman came forward, Suzan "Lewis." She claimed to be the daughter of Jerry Lewis. Gary went out and took a blood test with this woman. Guess what. The tests proved she was Jerry's daughter. I don't think Jerry ever acknowledged her publicly. But she spent time with him every few years or so. Gary said all Jerry cares about is his image and his career. I guess Gary won't appear on the telethon this year.
Why was Jerry so abusive to his sons and first wife? I'd really like to know -- an explanation or a psychiatric diagnosis? So, with his multi-million dollar show on the air Saturday nights, Jerry threw a big party, the theme of which was "Think Pink." Patty, his first wife, was very noticeably pregnant. The child would be born soon. So right before she gave birth, he asks all these celebrities to get Patty in the mood for a daughter. She had already given birth to 5 sons. Jerry wanted a girl.
Jerry's show was cancelled. President Kennedy was assassinated. And Patty gave birth to a son, Joseph. I'm sure the disappointment was evident. Patty failed again. What's with Jerry?

Yvette Vickers
Yvette Vickers
Yvette Vickers, Sci Fi movie star of the '50's. Here are 2 photos taken some 50 years apart. Yvette is about 74 years old now. A very intelligent, delightful person with many stories about the B movies she made. I hope she'll write an autobiography -- something to sign at the Sci Fi autograph shows! She has many fans. She appeared in Attack of the 50-Foot Woman and many other Sci Fi's. She also did a lot of TV spots. Yvette is a dancer as well as an actress. Really hard to find this film: Reform School Girl [VHS]. It's classic-- bad girls, fighting, scheming. It's like The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The Episode Everyone Was Waiting For
When The Housewives of NJ first came on Bravo, I thought Teresa was the nicest. She spends a fortune, buying her 3 (and now 4) little girls clothing, as she said in one episode 3 times a week.
The Guidices have filed for bankruptcy, this was in the newspapers, and that they owed 11 million dollars, mostly Real Estate deals gone wrong because of the economy.
Anyway, Teresa was my favorite on that show. She has a voice that rises to a squeek. Yes, I liked her until last night. In my opinion, she started the fight with Danielle. She waited for Danielle to come out of the Ladies Room. Danielle had a small entourage, but it didn't matter. Ashley, Jacqueline's daughter, managed to pull hair and extensions from Danielle's scalp. She said she thought Danielle had slapped her mother, Jacqueline, which she didn't. The heel of one of Danielle's high-heeled boots broke as she was trying to get away from these women. Teresa, with her chinchilla shrug, chased Danielle out of the restaurant that was hosting Kim D's fashion show. Ashley walked the runway with 3 outfits. Danielle pretended to be on her cell phone a la Paris Hilton. Ashley had written nasty things about Danielle on Facebook and sent nasty text messages to Danielle.
You could hear glass shattering as these women and Danielle and her entourage ran through the restaurant. I never saw such a childish and mean incident. Teresa started the whole thing with Danielle who just wanted to leave the restaurant. When the fight started, Danielle apparently said Teresa's house was in foreclosure, which Teresa denied and then commenced the chasing stunt. Everyone knows that the Guidices filed for bankruptcy. So Danielle did not let out a secret. This wouldn't have happened if Teresa wasn't hellbent on starting something. All Spring Danielle had to endure the TV commercial where Teresa is flipping the table and calling Danielle, "prostitution, whore," so maybe Teresa liked the limelight and wanted more. If Teresa would have just gone home after the fashion show instead of stalking Danielle. She was up to no good and was laughing that Danielle was afraid of her.
Danielle will be filing charges against Ashley. I've already heard Ashley was convicted of assault. Good. The whole incident was ridiculous. Danielle is truly afraid of these gals. When will they leave her alone? And if she has mental problems, why antagonize her? Next week Danielle will be taking a self-defense course.
Also seeing Jacqueline this season saying nasty things about Danielle was hard to take. I don't understand what happened beween them. It seems so two-faced and makes me dislike Jacqueline.

Harpo Speaks
Groucho Marx called Harpo a saint. Harpo loved children and adopted some kids. But in movies he never spoke. What did he sound like?
This is an audio of Harpo Marx speaking. His son segues in. Harpo had a deep voice with a slightly British accent, as you will hear.

Jayne Mansfield
When I was very young, Jayne Mansfield was my favorite actress. I didn't know Marilyn Monroe. I saw some of Jayne's movies, I saw the Jayne Mansfield doll in the movie Dondi, from the comic strip. You poked the doll's stomach and her breasts would light up; a good flash light. She appeared on Stump the Stars and Jackie Gleason.
I was eleven when she died. I saw the Daily News or NY Post's headline on my kitchen table. Jayne Mansfield Decapitated. A horror. And then came the jokes, like the National Lampoon publishing a photograph of 2 side by side graves. One tombstone read, "Here lies the body of Jayne Mansfield." And the other, "Here lies the head of Jayne Mansfield."
I know this is delicate, but I didn't find out until recent years that she was not beheaded, that the blonde hair hanging off the car window was the awful wig she wore in later years. Why didn't someone in the family tell the public she wasn't decapitated? All these years people believed she was. I don't think it was a good thing to let people think this. I wish someone had told the public.
Of course, her last year she was getting bad headlines. Devil Worshiping, being beaten up, starting fights in bars, doing all kinds of drugs. A lion mauled her son as she posed for pictures. And then her oldest daughter was beaten by Jayne's sadistic lawyer boyfriend. The girl went to the police. A photo of the girl, Jayne Marie, showed up in the newspapers. There was a hearing and Jayne Mansfield said she caught her daughter smoking marijuiana, and she had the right of a mother to spank her child when she does something wrong. The daughter in question was 16 years old. The authorities never investigated what went on in that home. I think the decision was in Jayne's favor. It wouldn't be today.
Jayne died in the Summer of Love. She had grown into a drug user, promoted sadomasochism ("Sex should be animalistic.")and worshiped the devil with Sammy Davis Jr. Her taste in fashion and make-up was pretty awful, but that had been true since 20th Century Fox dumped her in 1963. The publc knew her for her huge breasts and her impossibly tiny waistline. People would recognize her in the street, pregnant and wearing a leopard skin coat. Her rib cage, massive from lifting weights, resembled a German Shepherd's. Somehow she managed to pull her breasts up so high they nearly touched her chin. I feel she was a sweet woman and mother at one time, but she got into bad things. Her last year worked its way to a crescendo --catapulting her out of a car. Sometimes I watch the cop show Mariska Hargaty appears on. And I look for Jayne in her face and often find it.

O.J. Simpson
O.J. Is Guilty but Not of Murder by William Dear. This author is a life-long investigator. He contends that OJ Simpson's older son, Jason, from OJ's first marriage, has intermittant rage disorder. A chef, he once in anger held a knife to his employer. He has beaten up girl friends. He is probably a paranoid schizophrenic. A dangerous guy.
The night Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman were murdered, Nicole and family were supposed to go to dinner at a restaurant where Jason Simpson worked as a chef. Everyone at the restaurant was waiting their arrival. Nobody came. The Restaurant closed early that night. Jason Simpson was humiliated. His father, the ultra-famous athlete, didn't show up.
Nicole Simpson told friends that she caught Jason looking in her window. OJ would do this too. Nicole said she was going to Mezzaluna with the kids.
Like all Chefs, Jason took his knives home at night. They are expensive tools. Each chef has their own. Jason was in his car early that night, shortly after 9 pm. The theory is Jason went to Nicole's condo, got into a fight with her, went to his car for the knives and murdered her and Ron Goldman, who stopped by to return Nicole's mother's glasses.
It always seemed to me that the murderer(s) had to be in a frenzy. He almost beheaded Nicole Simpson and stabbed Ron Goldman to death. The crime scene showed how tattered and knife-cut Goldman's clothing was.
I wondered why OJ and Kato went to the fast food place earlier that nght. There was a rumor that OJ went there to get drugs. Now if he had taken methamphetamine, I could see him as the murderer. But cops only found some marijuiana in his system. He and Kato swore they went there for the food only.
Then there's the mysterious sock issue. When they shot a video of his home, there was no black sock on his bedroom floor. Then it was "found." But the sock contained traces of EDTA, which is used in processing evidence in the lab. How did it get into Simpson's sock?
And I always thought the killer would be coverd in blood. Dr. Lee said, "Something wrong" about the blood splatter evidence.
There was a man's size 12 footprint at the scene. OJ wears size 12. To me this only means one thing: He happened upon the scene. I believe Jason called OJ and told him what he did. OJ went over to Nicole's house and saw the dead bodies and quickly returned to his house. A limo was scheduled to pick him up. He showered and dressed and packed his bag to go to Chicago.
The jury acquitted Simpson at his trial. His son Jason was said to be laying on the floor of the court room in a fetal position. He had a note from OJ exressing gratitude to all and OJ asked him to read it to the press. Jason was the only family member who seemed angered when the acquittal was announced. He read OJ's letter in an odd, nasty manner. What was that all about? William Dear published a photo in his book of OJ's family looking upwards and praising God at the verdict. All except Jason. A picture is worth a thousand words. What price fame?
His trouble in Las Vegas came at a time he was selling a book "If I Did It." With the arrogance of this about a double murder and his approaching the press for the first time, near the chapel where he was to be best man. All the while OJ conversed with someone at the door of the chapel and kept sneaking glances at the cameras. In the background a woman was yelling, "You murderer. Justice for Ron, justice for Nicole." OJ was unfazed. The Groom, by the way, looked to me like an ex-con. This is conjecture on my part. But he looked like he'd seen the inside of a jail.
Anyway, the gods turned against OJ. I think most people know if it was someone else, he'd only get a slap on the wrist. Murderers are set free after a year or so it seems. This trial in Las Vegas was unfair. I understand Simpson's lawyer and the D.A. read their statements whether to overturn the conviction of OJ Simpson because he didn't get a fair trial. Also, the other men who were involved -- they turned against OJ to save their own necks. The authorities wanted OJ Simpson. Quite a coup.

Caroline's Breasts
Personally, I can't understand it. Women risking their health to have breast implants. Their breasts look like torpedos, weapons. I guess I'm a part of the older generation now.
On The Housewives of New Jersey, Dina always believed that her older sister, Caroline, had implants. Caroline denies this. She says God gave them to her. Well, on bravotv.com they have galleries of pictures of the wives when they were younger. Caroline was a skinny little woman. Women who are big-breasted usually have big breasts when they're thin too. The website shows about a dozen photos of Caroline when young. Sorry, I don't see big boobs in any of those pictures. Did having children make them big?

Two Books on Sale for Danielle Staub Fans
"Meet the Real Danielle…You’ve seen her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, turning heads, raising eyebrows, and igniting feuds with her feisty suburban neighbors. Now, the always fascinating Danielle Staub gets real about her scandalous past in the year’s most explosive tell-all memoir. . . .When she signed on to appear in a reality TV show, Danielle had no idea what she was getting herself into. Hoping for a new lease on life after her recent divorce, the single mother of two became the target of vicious gossip, heated arguments, and endless controversy. When her housewife costars confronted her with the true crime book written about her ex-husband, the you-know-what hit the fan. Danielle knew she could no longer keep her checkered past a secret—and she had to set the record straight. This is the real Danielle Staub, in her own words, as you’ve never seen her before. The child of an unmarried Italian teenager, Danielle was born in Pennsylvania (under the name Beverly Merrill) after her mother was pressured by her well-to-do family to leave Italy and not return until after she’d put her baby up for adoption. After years of sexual abuse, she fled to Miami, where she became a model, living the kind of lifestyle she could only dream of as a child. She partied like a rock star and with them as well, but ended up marrying a deceitful man who held dangerous secrets of his own. Soon Danielle was caught up in a tangled web of lies, drugs, and abuse that landed her in the hospital more than once.
How she survived—leaving her husband, changing her name, and finally giving birth to two lovely daughters—is one shocking story you have to read to believe. If you thought The Real Housewives of New Jersey gave you the real story of Danielle Staub, you don’t know the half of it. Filled with glamour and grit, heartbreak and heroism, this brave, no-holds-barred memoir reveals the naked truth behind reality TV’s most talked-about star." --Amazon
“You either love me or you hate me, there is no in between .” —Danielle Staub
From Publishers Weekly:
"Kipps (Out of Focus) deftly labels Maher an "excitement junkie," and the aptness of that term is clear from the first paragraph of this high-speed bio. From a broken home, Maher early became addicted to fast cars, and at 17, driving a stolen car, he led police on a wild chase from the Bronx in New York City to the Catskills. For this he got a prison sentence of up to four years. After escape and re-incarceration, he had the good fortune to encounter detective Jim Doherty, who became a second father to him. He then built a career as a confidential informant for various police departments, the FBI and the DEA. His fascination with fast cars continuing, he met at a drag-racing strip the scion of one of Colombia's drug families and for several years was a serious cocaine addict whose habit wrecked his first two marriages and derailed his career as an informant. Eventually he conquered his addiction and now works for a security firm in New Jersey. From all the derring-do here emerges the portrait of a man who never grew up."
Danielle Staub's life is written about in this book, hence its popularity.
