I wonder where Joan Rivers was when she heard the news that Elizabeth Taylor died. Did she remember how cruel she was towards her on different shows in the 80's?
I believe the roots of Dame Elizabeth's illnesses was early stardom, amazing beauty and reporters. Because of her beauty she had men she loved and was constantly in the newspapers. The movie magazines began to say nasty things about her. They wrote about her more and more till it was a crescendo. She was perhaps the most famous woman in the world. She was scrutinized. She would meet people who thought they "knew" her because of her fame. She was being put down as immoral, especially for her romance with Eddie Fisher.
She attended a theater once with Richard Burton. Crowds of people went up to her to see if her eyes really were violet: they were, but maybe more towards lavender. She was the most dissected person in the world. She had no privacy.
At some point she became very ill. The number of illnesses she suffered was endless. And I believe this was all a Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome experience. She lived like a caged animal.
In the '70's she began to put on weight. Jokes were made about her by Joan Rivers. Yet, anytime someone said something negative about Joan Rivers, no matter how trivial, she became upset, would cry and threaten lawsuits. "I"m only trying to make people laugh," she defended herself. Rivers is not a nice or fair person and totally blind to what damage she does.
How much observation can a person take? I thought Dame Elizabeth was a great actress. She was also a mother who managed to keep her children private. How she accomplished this I don't know.
Was she vain, narcissistic? When she underwent brain surgery to remove a benign tumor, her head was shaved and there was a scar crossing the top of her head. She allowed people to see her bald -- back in the day when no one saw anything like this. She allowed photographers to take pictures of her with no hair. She was philanthropic and became very involved with AIDs research and treatments. She did her best to fight against AIDS until she was too ill to continue.
She is at peace now. Thank you, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, for your wonderful performances, renowned beauty and long life.

I Never Saw Anyone Look More Like Marilyn Monroe in My Life
I got this from youtube.com. It isn't Marilyn of course and I hope no one comes out and says it is. I never saw such a resemblance, but you can't kid the kidder.

Karyn Kupcinet in the Nutty Professor (deleted scene)
The Nutty Professor came out in 1963. I always had a feeling that Karyn Kupcinet was in it, but may have died before he completed the film. Anyway, Jerry looks very sweaty and to me it's like a rehearsal. She is in the crowd that comes over to the piano. She has short, dark hair and is very small in stature. She's the one who puts her head on her folded arms when Jerry goofs.
Karyn died mysteriously, probably murdered, on Thanksgiving 1963. She was not found till 3 nights later. Irv Kupcinet, newspaperman and TV host, was her father. She came from a very wealthy and popular family. Her father became "Mr. Chicago." After he died, they built a bronze statue of him on a high platform by the waterway, hand out, welcoming everyone to Chicago. The Wabash Ave Bridge was renamed (during his lifetime) the Irv Kupcinet Bridge.
Karyn was 22 when she died. She had an IQ of 146. Although small, she was big-boned like her father and people like that look heavier than a small/medium-boned person. She was addicted to methamphetamine pills, trying to keep thin. One photographer white-outed part of her shoulders and neck. She underwent a lot of plastic surgery. Two days before she died, she refilled a prescription of 100 Desoxyn. The police found the empty bottle in her bathroom cabinet. Where did they go? Did someone steal them? The autopsy was botched and basically no meds showed up.

Survivor Richard Hatch is heading off to jail but a powerful friend wants to help him.
The Celebrity Apprentice contestant turned himself into U.S. marshals on Monday to begin a nine-month prison sentence for failing to re-file his taxes. But, the host and powerful figure behind the Apprentice shows says he wants to help.
"I don't know what it is with him," Donald Trump tells TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411. "I like him, he's a nice guy. I thought he served his time and now he's going back to jail. ... I'm going to have to sit down with him and talk to him."
Hatch previously served three years for failing to pay taxes on his Survivor winnings. He was released and ordered to re-file his taxes.
Trump also claimed that he came to respect Hatch after working with him on Celebrity Apprentice, adding: "He wasn't loved on set because it's a competition but I will say he was respected.
"[Helping him is] something I'd think about. He's been a great character on the show. If he makes it to the finals - and I'm not saying he is - I'm sure we can get him time off for good behavior."
What is so "nice" about Richard Hatch? He's an arrogant, bullying SOB. He treats people with contempt. In the 2nd episode I didn't even notice him. I think he's going to stay under the radar for awhile especially after the way he treated David Cassidy. And then they lost to the women by 50%. They only made half of what the women pulled in.
On this show, Trump is looking for cutthroats. Not that they'll win, but he seems to want 2 alligator types going after one another. And that's why he kept on Richard Hatch.
As far as the women this week, I wish they had thrown off Dionne Warwick. She is an obstinate bitch. I couldn't believe it. She should stick to singing "Walk on By" or "Do you know the way to San Jose?" She takes offense when there's no offense meant. She thinks she doesn't have to obey the Project Manager. Also, the way she is dressed -- is she living on the street? Talk about poverty. She's impoverished 2 ways: as a team player and apparently money-wise.

Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen is a manic-depressive in a very manic state right now. His mind is racing and he's brilliant. And crazy. The video below shows him reciting a poem he wrote, but actually he's thinking all this stuff. Some manics-depressives are, to me, geniuses. Listen to this man rant. The only thing I don't like about him is his womanizing. That's a turn-off. But this man is a crazy poet and I can't ignore that.

Richard Hatch has been ordered back to jail, although he'll miss at least the last show, where everyone is reunited. He has to return to prison this Monday March 14, 2011. He was also told he was under supervision and should not have been in the game show, Celebrity Apprentice.
I guess what goes around, comes around. During the men's project, a burly Richard Hatch literally pushed David Cassidy away from him twice. In the famous Board Room, David Cassidy said he wasn't small, delicate, etc., which Hatch maintained he was. Then Cassidy said he was 5'8 and 140 lbs. I have to say, he's no 5'8. He looked very small next to the other men. I would say he's 5'3.
In the limo home he said he could have punched Hatch but that's not his style. I think Hatch would have annihilated him. And that's why Trump fired Cassidy. He was small and he'd come against the men again in much the same way. Donald Trump could have fired Hatch because everyone hates him and he lost. But I think, although Cassidy has a following, Hatch is more likely to stir up trouble and there'll be more displays of emotion caused by him. Better ratings.
I have a 10 minute video of David Cassidy in a recent live performance. Enjoy.
